Hockey Alberta support for NWT Evacuees
If you are evacuated to Alberta, there now is a memorandum to permit you to participate in conditioning camps in Alberta and will be covered under the Hockey Canada Insurance program. Families that are interested, please keep us updated regarding any players who are utilizing these opportunities and send an e-mail to kylek@hockeynorth.ca.

Players from Northwest Territories
Due to the recent wildfires in the Northwest Territories and families having to evacuate, many have temporarily relocated to Alberta.
Hockey Alberta has received inquiries about the possibility of players from Northwest Territories participating in conditioning camps in Alberta while they are evacuated.
In consultation with Hockey North, those players will be permitted to participate in conditioning camps in Alberta and will be covered under the Hockey Canada Insurance program.
If families have their stays extended into the season, we will work with our Minor Hockey Associations on potential registration options.
Hockey Alberta continues to work with Hockey North and will keep our Members updated if additional solutions are needed due to changing circumstances.
