Hockey NWT goes Social Media
Yellowknife, January 28, 2022 - Hockey NWT is excited to start their Social Media adventure with adding content to Facebook and Instagram now.
“It will be a soft start, but hopefully with the restrictions lifted, and we are back on the ice, we will see more content coming out” says Executive Director Kyle Kugler.
The Social Media platforms will provide information on activities happening in the Territory, with the Minor Hockey Associations and shared content and a close partnership with Hockey Canada. Visitors will be able to share our content and like it, while we keep the comment section disabled for now.
“We are excited” says President of Hockey NWT, Stu Impett. “Soon we will be back on the ice and share hockey stories from across the Territory.”

Hockey NWT
HNWT is the governing body for amateur hockey in the Northwest Territories. The objects of the Association are to promote, develop and regulate the sport by encouraging the active participation of Northwest Territories residents; providing technical development for players, team officials and on-ice officials; reinforcing uniform playing rules and proper standards of member conduct; administering Hockey North and Hockey Canada policies and regulations, as appropriate; overseeing the participation of Northwest Territories players and teams in advanced competitions; facilitating the development of effective regional and community hockey organizations; and representing member interests to relevant Northwest Territories organizations, to Hockey North and at other hockey fora.
