As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on everything that has made this season so meaningful.
This year was filled with great events, strong community outreach programs, and countless moments where people stepped up to support hockey across the Northwest Territories. From local rinks to territorial initiatives, it was inspiring to see how deeply hockey continues to connect communities and create opportunities for youth. We were proud to host a successful gala in support of our hockey programs, a reminder of how powerful it is when communities come together around a shared purpose. None of this would be possible without the dedication and commitment of so many people.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Kyle, our Executive Director, for the countless hours, hard work, and steady leadership he brings to Hockey NWT. His dedication behind the scenes plays a huge role in keeping programs moving forward and focused on what matters most, our athletes and communities.
We also extend our deepest thanks to all volunteers, officials, minor hockey associations, and partners who give their time, energy, and care throughout the season. Your contributions are the backbone of hockey in the North.
This year, we were especially proud of the continued growth and support of the Green Armband Program, and of everyone who stands behind it. Seeing youth step up, lead with respect, and give their best both on and off the ice reminds us why this work matters.
As we head into the holiday season, we thank you for being part of the Hockey NWT family. Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and restful holiday season.
