Celebrating the Heart of the Game - Our Coaches
From grassroots Hockey in our communities to the bright lights of the Canada Winter Games, our coaches are the heartbeat of the game in the North. During National Coaches Week (September 15-21, 2025), we pause to say #ThanksCoach to the dedicated leaders who volunteer their time, inspire our youth, and grow the sport in every corner of the Northwest Territories.
Whether they’re guiding U9 players through their first shifts or supporting Team NT athletes on the national stage, our coaches do it all, and they do it with heart. They teach, listen, lead, and show up, often without recognition. This week, let’s change that.
